Dear members,
In the wake of this weeks storm there is an urgent need to pull together to help our communities and neighbors. That is the purpose for Peoples Rights. We need to work together in order to be able to live a successful and productive life. This week many of us found ourselves stranded without power, medical, family, heat, medication and were forced to fend for ourselves as ice took out trees, power and houses around us. This is why it is so important that we gather together and help each other. Wood stoves, gas generators, 4 wheel drive diesels and good ol American ingenuity and power saved our family from this storm as well as many other families. We cannot allow people to forget that moving forward. However, right now, many of us have the resources to help each other with basic needs where the power companies are struggling to keep the power on for us all.
We will begin storm clean up days to work together to help each other effective January 27th to clean up storm damages. We may be able to get to you for help sooner if the circumstances are dire. Please send info through the area rep Chrissie in area 8. I will be gathering info and planning out locations to get volunteers out.
